Letter Hunt

We've been learning about the letter Ff, Hh and Dd this past couple of weeks. Today the children went on a letter hunt in the hallways to see how many Ff, Hh and Dd's we could find. We headed out into the hallways with out boards, papers, crayons and magnifying glasses to see what we could find.

This child finds the letter H on one of the lockers.

How many Hh's have you found?

This child is very proud of her work.

Using their eyes to find the letters on the locker name tags.

This child found the letters on other student's work in the hallway.

Good find!

This child uses a magnifying glass to make sure she doesn't miss a letter.

Our letter hunt was SO MUCH FUN! This is an activity you can easily do at home, in the car, even in the grocery store. Check your child's daily note to see what letters we are learning about in class and see how many they can find.
Another thing we LOVE about learning letters are the alphabet letter raps. Check out the
Letter Dd Rap, Ladybug Lane's favorite right now.

Fejevary Park/Putnam Trip

In October, we took a trip to the new Fejevary Park and Putnam Museum. We really enjoyed playing in the new park and we really loved the museum too! Here are some great photos from our trip. Enjoy!

One of our FAVORITE things about field trips... Riding the bus!

We explored what was left of the vegetable and herb gardens.

We found some tomatoes.

We stopped and smelled some mint!

Of course we had to take a picture with the big pig,

the bird house,

AND the butterfly chair!

We REALLY liked climbing the BIG rocks.

And pretending to be lions- RAWH!

The sandbox was VERY exciting.
If you dug deep enough you could find DINOSAUR FOSSILS!

She found one!

There was also a large pile of stick some children used to build a "tent."

We all had fun at the park!

After we played at the park, we ate some lunch, then played inside the Putnam Museum at their new Light, Sirens, Action! exhibit. Oh did we have fun!
Dressing up like firemen!

Driving the firetruck!

Riding in the firetruck!

BOOTS!

 You're under arrest!

They got him!

 Laying on the gurney!

Stay tuned for more fun happenings in Ladybug Lane!
